I created a storyboard that had key points from the original 3-minute video and sliced and edited that version to make it look like it was originally made as a 1-minute video so that it could be used for social media purposes. To cut the fat out, I used the audio outtakes and matched them seamlessly with the raw video that was provided for us.
First, I carefully reviewed all the raw video cuts (we were not provided with the original video source files) and selected the materials that aligned with my storyboard. Then, I meticulously synchronized the uncut voice-over with the chosen video cuts, a task that required our collective efforts and expertise.
Solving Two Challenges:
1.) The sound quality in the raw video material was not as good as the source audio that was given to us. In order to make a clean one-minute video, I had to find a way to remove the original voice-over and synchronize it with the separate audio file that was provided.
2.) I also had to color-correct the video. To cut it down to the exact T so that it matched the storyboard, I had to backtrack and color-correct it using the color correction tools provided by Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
Overall, what initially seemed like a straightforward task turned out to be a complex and challenging project. But who doesn’t love challenges, they always keep me on my toes.
